Prošle su točno dvadeset četiri godine od kada je iz mora kod otočića Vele Orjule izvađen brončani antički kip mladog atleta. Muzej Apoksiomena u kojem je kip smješten, postao je nezaobilazno odredište svih gostiju koji dolaze na Mali Lošinj.

Otkako je muzej otvorio svoja vrata prije sedam godina, ne prestaje privlačiti posjetitelje. Godišnje ga obiđe više od 25 tisuća gostiju, piše HRT.

- Imamo konstantnu tendenciju rasta posjetitelja i samim time bila je jako dobra odluka da sam kip ostane u Malom Lošinju, kaže Nikola Andrijčić, muzejski tehničar i vodič kroz postav Muzeja Apoksiomena.

Brončani kip drevnog grčkog atlete Apoksiomena prevozio se na rimskom brodu u 1. stoljeću. Posada broda ga je u trenucima spašavanja broda od olujnog nevremena bacila u more. Nakon što je gotovo dvije tisuće godina boravio u moru na pješčanom dnu između otočića Vele Orjule i otoka Lošinja sasvim slučajno ga je tijekom ronjenja u travnju 1999. pronašao belgijski turist Rene Wouters.

Kip prikazuje 192 cm visokog mladog atletičara kako sa svog tijela strugaljkom čisti ulje, prašinu i znoj nakon natjecanja ili vježbe. Kip je izrađen u bronci, te je od dosad pronađenih osam primjeraka Apoksiomena najbolje i najcjelovitije očuvani primjerak.

U desnoj je ruci držao srpoliko strugalo za čišćenje prašine i znoja s nauljenoga tijela. Izrađen je, vjerojatno, prema prototipu koji je sredinom 4. stoljeća prije Krista načinio Daip, sin najpoznatijeg grčkog kipara Lizipa.

Nakon opsežnih konzervatorskih radova, kip je 2006. izložen u Arheološkom muzeju u Zagrebu gdje je prvi put predstavljen javnosti. Dok su na otoku Lošinju trajali radovi na rekonstrukciji palače Kvarner koja će u potpunosti biti posvećena Apoksiomenu, kip je izložen u Firenci, Londonu, Parizu i Los Angelesu.

Prošle su točno dvadeset četiri godine od kada je iz mora kod otočića Vele Orjule izvađen brončani antički kip mladog atleta. Muzej Apoksiomena u kojem je kip smješten, postao je nezaobilazno odredište svih gostiju koji dolaze na Mali Lošinj.

Otkako je muzej otvorio svoja vrata prije sedam godina, ne prestaje privlačiti posjetitelje. Godišnje ga obiđe više od 25 tisuća gostiju, piše HRT.

- Imamo konstantnu tendenciju rasta posjetitelja i samim time bila je jako dobra odluka da sam kip ostane u Malom Lošinju, kaže Nikola Andrijčić, muzejski tehničar i vodič kroz postav Muzeja Apoksiomena.

Brončani kip drevnog grčkog atlete Apoksiomena prevozio se na rimskom brodu u 1. stoljeću. Posada broda ga je u trenucima spašavanja broda od olujnog nevremena bacila u more. Nakon što je gotovo dvije tisuće godina boravio u moru na pješčanom dnu između otočića Vele Orjule i otoka Lošinja sasvim slučajno ga je tijekom ronjenja u travnju 1999. pronašao belgijski turist Rene Wouters.

Kip prikazuje 192 cm visokog mladog atletičara kako sa svog tijela strugaljkom čisti ulje, prašinu i znoj nakon natjecanja ili vježbe. Kip je izrađen u bronci, te je od dosad pronađenih osam primjeraka Apoksiomena najbolje i najcjelovitije očuvani primjerak.

U desnoj je ruci držao srpoliko strugalo za čišćenje prašine i znoja s nauljenoga tijela. Izrađen je, vjerojatno, prema prototipu koji je sredinom 4. stoljeća prije Krista načinio Daip, sin najpoznatijeg grčkog kipara Lizipa.

Nakon opsežnih konzervatorskih radova, kip je 2006. izložen u Arheološkom muzeju u Zagrebu gdje je prvi put predstavljen javnosti. Dok su na otoku Lošinju trajali radovi na rekonstrukciji palače Kvarner koja će u potpunosti biti posvećena Apoksiomenu, kip je izložen u Firenci, Londonu, Parizu i Los Angelesu.

Prošle su točno dvadeset četiri godine od kada je iz mora kod otočića Vele Orjule izvađen brončani antički kip mladog atleta. Muzej Apoksiomena u kojem je kip smješten, postao je nezaobilazno odredište svih gostiju koji dolaze na Mali Lošinj.

Otkako je muzej otvorio svoja vrata prije sedam godina, ne prestaje privlačiti posjetitelje. Godišnje ga obiđe više od 25 tisuća gostiju, piše HRT.
