Grad Beč otkrio je spomenik južnoameričkom revolucionaru Ernestu "Cheu" Guevari, prvi u Europi, uz glasne prosvjede stranaka desnice koje tvrde da "ubojica" ne zaslužuje takvu počast.

Brončana bista visoka 70 centimetara, postavljena u parku nedaleko od bečkog sjedišta UN-a, simbol je namjere Beča da iskorijeni siromaštvo, rekao je gradonačelnik Michael Haeeupl u izjavi za državnu televiziju ORF.

Socijaldemokrat Haeupl rekao je kako je pogrešno zvati Guevaru ubojicom. "On je bio čovjek", prenijela je njegove riječi agencija APA.

Konzervativci iz Narodne stranke i pripadnici desničarske Slobodarske stranke kritizirali su spomenik koji je izradila skulptorica Gerda Fassel.

"Što se mene tiče, Haeupl može spavati u posteljini Chea Guevare", rekao je narodnjak Norbert Walter. "No krajnji je nedostatak ukusa novac građana trošiti na takvu bistu", dodao je.

Rodom Argentinac, Guevara je bio ključni lik kubanske revolucije 50-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, a ubijen je u Boliviji 1967. godine.

Grad Beč otkrio je spomenik južnoameričkom revolucionaru Ernestu "Cheu" Guevari, prvi u Europi, uz glasne prosvjede stranaka desnice koje tvrde da "ubojica" ne zaslužuje takvu počast.

Brončana bista visoka 70 centimetara, postavljena u parku nedaleko od bečkog sjedišta UN-a, simbol je namjere Beča da iskorijeni siromaštvo, rekao je gradonačelnik Michael Haeeupl u izjavi za državnu televiziju ORF.

Socijaldemokrat Haeupl rekao je kako je pogrešno zvati Guevaru ubojicom. "On je bio čovjek", prenijela je njegove riječi agencija APA.

Konzervativci iz Narodne stranke i pripadnici desničarske Slobodarske stranke kritizirali su spomenik koji je izradila skulptorica Gerda Fassel.

"Što se mene tiče, Haeupl može spavati u posteljini Chea Guevare", rekao je narodnjak Norbert Walter. "No krajnji je nedostatak ukusa novac građana trošiti na takvu bistu", dodao je.

Rodom Argentinac, Guevara je bio ključni lik kubanske revolucije 50-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, a ubijen je u Boliviji 1967. godine.
