Desetak ježeva s viškom kilograma koje su nakupili prije i tijekom blagdana jedući hranu ostavljenu na ulicama izraelskoga grada Ramat Gana, morat će hitno na strogu dijetu zbog vlastite sigurnosti. Naime, zbog debljine se ne mogu smotati u klupko i tako obraniti od drugih životinja poput lisica. 

Grupa ljubitelja životinja pronašla ih je kako se gegaju ulicama Ramat Gana te su ih predali veterinarima gradskoga zoološkog vrta. 

Osoblje zooa pretpostavlja da su ježevi jeli hranu preostalu iza kućnih ljubimaca. 

"Mnogi ljudi na ulicama ostavljaju hranu za mačke lutalice, što je vrlo plemenito, no često je pojedu razne druge divlje životinje", rekla je čuvarica u zoološkom vrtu Becka Rifkin. 

Ispripovijedala je da je u zoo prije dva mjeseca stigao jež kojemu su nadjenuli ime Sherman, težak 1,6 kg, što je gotovo dvostruko više od prosjeka za ježa njegove dobi. 

Otad je na strogoj dijeti i dosad je izgubio 120 grama, a osoblje zoološkog vrta nada se da će ga na slobodu pustiti do ljeta kada mu se "kilaža prepolovi."

Desetak ježeva s viškom kilograma koje su nakupili prije i tijekom blagdana jedući hranu ostavljenu na ulicama izraelskoga grada Ramat Gana, morat će hitno na strogu dijetu zbog vlastite sigurnosti. Naime, zbog debljine se ne mogu smotati u klupko i tako obraniti od drugih životinja poput lisica. 

Grupa ljubitelja životinja pronašla ih je kako se gegaju ulicama Ramat Gana te su ih predali veterinarima gradskoga zoološkog vrta. 

Osoblje zooa pretpostavlja da su ježevi jeli hranu preostalu iza kućnih ljubimaca. 

"Mnogi ljudi na ulicama ostavljaju hranu za mačke lutalice, što je vrlo plemenito, no često je pojedu razne druge divlje životinje", rekla je čuvarica u zoološkom vrtu Becka Rifkin. 

Ispripovijedala je da je u zoo prije dva mjeseca stigao jež kojemu su nadjenuli ime Sherman, težak 1,6 kg, što je gotovo dvostruko više od prosjeka za ježa njegove dobi. 

Otad je na strogoj dijeti i dosad je izgubio 120 grama, a osoblje zoološkog vrta nada se da će ga na slobodu pustiti do ljeta kada mu se "kilaža prepolovi."
