Prevaliti ukupno više od 200 kilometara. Provesti sate i sate u nemirnom, otvorenom, a nerijetko i hladnom moru. Suočiti se s brojnim preprekama, u konačnici - i sa samim sobom. Sve je to potrebno kako bi se dovršio plivački maraton "Oceans seven", za čije je kompletiranje potrebno preplivati sedam kanala. Svojevrsni je to ekvivalent planinarskom izazovu "Seven summits", koji uključuje osvajanje najviših svjetskih vrhova. U pohod na plivačke vrhove odavno je zagazila Dina Levačić, 26-godišnja Splićanka, koja početkom idućeg mjeseca kreće u sedmi, ujedno i posljednji izazov u maratonu.

Cookov prolaz, tjesnac između Sjevernog i Južnog otoka Novog Zelanda, ostao je jedini komadić za kompletiranje njena plivačko-maratonskog mozaika kojim bi dodatno zacementirala mjesto u plivačkoj povijesti. Uoči odlaska na drugi kraj svijeta, uhvatili smo ju u rijetkim trenucima "na suhom", u kojima nam je otkrila sve detalje prije negoli zaplovi morima na južnoj polutci.

Što vas čeka na Novom Zelandu?

- Odlazim 3. ožujka, a put će trajati dva dana. Krećemo iz Splita, zatim idemo preko Zagreba, Istanbula, Singapura, Melbournea i konačno slijećemo u Wellington. Dosad je 21 osoba u povijesti preplivala svih sedam kanala. Bila bih prva osoba iz Hrvatske koja je to odradila, ujedno i najmlađa žena koja je to uspjela.

Kako ste se pripremali za zadnji od sedam izazova?

- Pripremam se 20 godina za to. Naravno, treba se pripremiti i fizički, ali psihički dio se razvija s godinama i tu je ono: "ili to imaš, ili nemaš". Što se tiče nedavnih priprema, otkad sam se vratila s preplivavanja Sjevernog kanala imala sam mali odmor, a onda su ponovno krenule pripreme. Dnevno plivam dva do tri sata, kombinirano pola u moru i pola u bazenu. Prošle sam godine cijelo vrijeme plivala u moru, jer me čekalo plivanje u Irskoj gdje je hladno, pa sam se tako htjela ranije pripremiti, a plivam na Marjanu na plaži Kašjuni.

Je li to najveći izazov dosad i kada biste trebali krenuti s plivanjem?

- Što se tiče plivanja, ne mogu reći je li najveći izazov, svako preplivavanje je priča za sebe. Bit će velik izazov jer ondje uvijek dosta puše vjetar, a problem su i morske struje. Teško je reći koliko će vremena biti potrebno za preplivavanje, vrijeme je tamo vrlo varljivo. To može trajati između pet i šest sati, pa sve do 15-16 sati, toliko je trebalo prijašnjim plivačima u tom kanalu. Kao i svugdje, i tamo ima morskog života, ima i morskih pasa, ali nikome nikada ništa nije bilo i ne susreću se tako često. Zna biti i dupina, meduza, ali to je sve standardno. Nadam se da ću dobiti priliku zaplivati, zna se dogoditi nekada da se i ne dobije prilika. Sve ovisi o vjetru, tamo nema bonace, a termin za plivanje imam između 14. i 18. ožujka zbog plime i oseke. Temperatura mora trenutačno iznosi oko 17 stupnjeva, u konačnici bi mogla mogla bi negdje na 14-15.

Osjećate li strah ili nervozu i jeste li se dosad susreli s nekom neugodnom situacijom?

- Bila je jedna situacija kada sam plivala na Havajima, po noći. Nalazila sam se usred Pacifika, ispod mene je bio kilometar mora, a plivala sam do tog trenutka već pet sati. Uhvatila me morska bolest, počela sam povraćati, bila sam dezorijentirana. Počela je i padati kiša, a zatim sam uplivala u jato meduza, koje peku dosta neugodno, opekle su me po rukama i nogama. U takvim je trenucima važno ostati smiren.

Po čemu će ovo biti poseban put?

- Zaokružit ću tu priču "Oceans seven", bit će to kruna moje plivačke karijere. Nadam se da ću isplivati i taj posljednji izazov, te da ću onda i ja biti inspiracija nekom drugom, ne samo u sportu, nego u bilo čemu, da se usudi pokušati, bez obzira ako netko kaže da se to ne može.

Prevaliti ukupno više od 200 kilometara. Provesti sate i sate u nemirnom, otvorenom, a nerijetko i hladnom moru. Suočiti se s brojnim preprekama, u konačnici - i sa samim sobom. Sve je to potrebno kako bi se dovršio plivački maraton "Oceans seven", za čije je kompletiranje potrebno preplivati sedam kanala. Svojevrsni je to ekvivalent planinarskom izazovu "Seven summits", koji uključuje osvajanje najviših svjetskih vrhova. U pohod na plivačke vrhove odavno je zagazila Dina Levačić, 26-godišnja Splićanka, koja početkom idućeg mjeseca kreće u sedmi, ujedno i posljednji izazov u maratonu.

Cookov prolaz, tjesnac između Sjevernog i Južnog otoka Novog Zelanda, ostao je jedini komadić za kompletiranje njena plivačko-maratonskog mozaika kojim bi dodatno zacementirala mjesto u plivačkoj povijesti. Uoči odlaska na drugi kraj svijeta, uhvatili smo ju u rijetkim trenucima "na suhom", u kojima nam je otkrila sve detalje prije negoli zaplovi morima na južnoj polutci.

Što vas čeka na Novom Zelandu?

- Odlazim 3. ožujka, a put će trajati dva dana. Krećemo iz Splita, zatim idemo preko Zagreba, Istanbula, Singapura, Melbournea i konačno slijećemo u Wellington. Dosad je 21 osoba u povijesti preplivala svih sedam kanala. Bila bih prva osoba iz Hrvatske koja je to odradila, ujedno i najmlađa žena koja je to uspjela.

Kako ste se pripremali za zadnji od sedam izazova?

- Pripremam se 20 godina za to. Naravno, treba se pripremiti i fizički, ali psihički dio se razvija s godinama i tu je ono: "ili to imaš, ili nemaš". Što se tiče nedavnih priprema, otkad sam se vratila s preplivavanja Sjevernog kanala imala sam mali odmor, a onda su ponovno krenule pripreme. Dnevno plivam dva do tri sata, kombinirano pola u moru i pola u bazenu. Prošle sam godine cijelo vrijeme plivala u moru, jer me čekalo plivanje u Irskoj gdje je hladno, pa sam se tako htjela ranije pripremiti, a plivam na Marjanu na plaži Kašjuni.

Je li to najveći izazov dosad i kada biste trebali krenuti s plivanjem?

- Što se tiče plivanja, ne mogu reći je li najveći izazov, svako preplivavanje je priča za sebe. Bit će velik izazov jer ondje uvijek dosta puše vjetar, a problem su i morske struje. Teško je reći koliko će vremena biti potrebno za preplivavanje, vrijeme je tamo vrlo varljivo. To može trajati između pet i šest sati, pa sve do 15-16 sati, toliko je trebalo prijašnjim plivačima u tom kanalu. Kao i svugdje, i tamo ima morskog života, ima i morskih pasa, ali nikome nikada ništa nije bilo i ne susreću se tako često. Zna biti i dupina, meduza, ali to je sve standardno. Nadam se da ću dobiti priliku zaplivati, zna se dogoditi nekada da se i ne dobije prilika. Sve ovisi o vjetru, tamo nema bonace, a termin za plivanje imam između 14. i 18. ožujka zbog plime i oseke. Temperatura mora trenutačno iznosi oko 17 stupnjeva, u konačnici bi mogla mogla bi negdje na 14-15.

Osjećate li strah ili nervozu i jeste li se dosad susreli s nekom neugodnom situacijom?

- Bila je jedna situacija kada sam plivala na Havajima, po noći. Nalazila sam se usred Pacifika, ispod mene je bio kilometar mora, a plivala sam do tog trenutka već pet sati. Uhvatila me morska bolest, počela sam povraćati, bila sam dezorijentirana. Počela je i padati kiša, a zatim sam uplivala u jato meduza, koje peku dosta neugodno, opekle su me po rukama i nogama. U takvim je trenucima važno ostati smiren.

Po čemu će ovo biti poseban put?

- Zaokružit ću tu priču "Oceans seven", bit će to kruna moje plivačke karijere. Nadam se da ću isplivati i taj posljednji izazov, te da ću onda i ja biti inspiracija nekom drugom, ne samo u sportu, nego u bilo čemu, da se usudi pokušati, bez obzira ako netko kaže da se to ne može.

Porijeklom je s Ista, a sada kreće u izazov za koji se priprema 20 godina: Postat ću prva osoba iz Hrvatske koja je to postigla!

Prevaliti ukupno više od 200 kilometara. Provesti sate i sate u nemirnom, otvorenom, a nerijetko i hladnom moru. Suočiti se s brojnim preprekama, u konačnici - i sa samim sobom. Sve je to potrebno kako bi se dovršio plivački maraton "Oceans seven", za čije je kompletiranje potrebno preplivati sedam kanala. Svojevrsni je to ekvivalent planinarskom izazovu "Seven summits", koji uključuje osvajanje najviših svjetskih vrhova. U pohod na plivačke vrhove odavno je zagazila Dina Levačić, 26-godišnja Splićanka, koja početkom idućeg mjeseca kreće u sedmi, ujedno i posljednji izazov u maratonu.

Cookov prolaz, tjesnac između Sjevernog i Južnog otoka Novog Zelanda, ostao je jedini komadić za kompletiranje njena plivačko-maratonskog mozaika kojim bi dodatno zacementirala mjesto u plivačkoj povijesti. Uoči odlaska na drugi kraj svijeta, uhvatili smo ju u rijetkim trenucima "na suhom", u kojima nam je otkrila sve detalje prije negoli zaplovi morima na južnoj polutci.

Što vas čeka na Novom Zelandu?

- Odlazim 3. ožujka, a put će trajati dva dana. Krećemo iz Splita, zatim idemo preko Zagreba, Istanbula, Singapura, Melbournea i konačno slijećemo u Wellington. Dosad je 21 osoba u povijesti preplivala svih sedam kanala. Bila bih prva osoba iz Hrvatske koja je to odradila, ujedno i najmlađa žena koja je to uspjela.

Kako ste se pripremali za zadnji od sedam izazova?

- Pripremam se 20 godina za to. Naravno, treba se pripremiti i fizički, ali psihički dio se razvija s godinama i tu je ono: "ili to imaš, ili nemaš". Što se tiče nedavnih priprema, otkad sam se vratila s preplivavanja Sjevernog kanala imala sam mali odmor, a onda su ponovno krenule pripreme.
