Japan je predložio jednogodišnju odgodu Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju zbog pandemije koronavirusa, a Međunarodni olimppijski odbor (MOO) je to prihvatio, izjavio je u utorak japanski premijer Shinzo Abe.

"Predložio sam da se igre odgode za godinu dana i predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach je to prihvatio sto posto", izjavio je Abe nakon telefnske konferencije  na kojoj su osim njega i Bacha sudjelovali i guverner Tokija Yuriko Koike, predsjednik organizacijskog odbora OI 2020 Yoshiro Mori i japanska ministrica za olimpijske igre Seiko Hashimoto.

Kako je kazao Koike Igre koje će se održati sljedeće ljeto nosit će naziv Tokio 2020.

Japanska ministrica za olimpijske igre Hashimoto je dodala kako će ova odluka biti olakšanje za sportaše koji su do sada bili u nemogućnosti pripremati se kako treba za najveći sportski događaj na svijetu. Također je dodala da odgoda neće biti dulja od godine dana.

Ako ova odluka bude službeno prihvaćena od strane MOO-a CIO, to će biti prva odgoda Igara u modernoj eri u doba mira. Prije su samo dva svjetska rata u. 20. stoljeću uzrokovali odgodu, a onda i otkazivanje Igara. 

Također, to je i velik udarac za grad Tokio kao i za cijeli Japan koji su se marljivo pripremali godinama da od 24. srpnja do 9. kolovoza budu domaćini najvećoj svjetskojsportskoj manifestaciji nakon koje bi od 25. kolovoza do 6. rujna uslijedile Paraolimpijske igre.

Japan je predložio jednogodišnju odgodu Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju zbog pandemije koronavirusa, a Međunarodni olimppijski odbor (MOO) je to prihvatio, izjavio je u utorak japanski premijer Shinzo Abe.

"Predložio sam da se igre odgode za godinu dana i predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach je to prihvatio sto posto", izjavio je Abe nakon telefnske konferencije  na kojoj su osim njega i Bacha sudjelovali i guverner Tokija Yuriko Koike, predsjednik organizacijskog odbora OI 2020 Yoshiro Mori i japanska ministrica za olimpijske igre Seiko Hashimoto.

Kako je kazao Koike Igre koje će se održati sljedeće ljeto nosit će naziv Tokio 2020.

Japanska ministrica za olimpijske igre Hashimoto je dodala kako će ova odluka biti olakšanje za sportaše koji su do sada bili u nemogućnosti pripremati se kako treba za najveći sportski događaj na svijetu. Također je dodala da odgoda neće biti dulja od godine dana.

Ako ova odluka bude službeno prihvaćena od strane MOO-a CIO, to će biti prva odgoda Igara u modernoj eri u doba mira. Prije su samo dva svjetska rata u. 20. stoljeću uzrokovali odgodu, a onda i otkazivanje Igara. 

Također, to je i velik udarac za grad Tokio kao i za cijeli Japan koji su se marljivo pripremali godinama da od 24. srpnja do 9. kolovoza budu domaćini najvećoj svjetskojsportskoj manifestaciji nakon koje bi od 25. kolovoza do 6. rujna uslijedile Paraolimpijske igre.

Japan je predložio jednogodišnju odgodu Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju zbog pandemije koronavirusa, a Međunarodni olimppijski odbor (MOO) je to prihvatio, izjavio je u utorak japanski premijer Shinzo Abe.

"Predložio sam da se igre odgode za godinu dana i predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach je to prihvatio sto posto", izjavio je Abe nakon telefnske konferencije  na kojoj su osim njega i Bacha sudjelovali i guverner Tokija Yuriko Koike, predsjednik organizacijskog odbora OI 2020 Yoshiro Mori i japanska ministrica za olimpijske igre Seiko Hashimoto.
