Korona ipak nije uspjela zaustaviti najpoznatiji globalni pokret Wings for Life World Run tako da je u nedjelju, 3. svibnja, čak 77 103 sudionika iz 104 zemlje učinilo je ono što se činilo nemogućim u trenutnoj situaciji: istodobno su trčali, hodali ili se odgurivali u kolicima u dobrotvornoj utrci.

Odvojeni daljinom, ali sjedinjeni duhom, sudionici su još jednom pokazali da zajedništvo čini čuda. Tako je u jednom danu prikupljeno 2,8 milijuna eura za istraživanja ozljeda leđne moždine.

Nina Zarina iz Rusije upisala je svoju drugu uzastopnu globalnu pobjedu u ženskoj konkurenciji s pretrčanih 54,23 km.

Michael Taylor iz Velike Britanije postao je globalni pobjednik u muškoj kategoriji nakon što je uspješno bježao od virtualnog presretačkog vozila čak 69,92 km.

„Svi smo doživjeli neka ograničenja u svom životu proteklih tjedana, ali stvari će biti bolje. Osobe s ozljedama leđne moždine cijeli su život u svojevrsnoj izolaciji. I oni sanjaju da im se vrati sloboda i da ponovno rade ono što vole “, rekla je Anita Gerhardter, direktorica neprofitne zaklade Wings for Life, čija je misija pronaći lijek za ozljede leđne moždine.

"Danas se više od 77 000 ljudi pobrinulo za to da cilj Zaklade bude korak bliže."

Iako ove godine Wings for Life World Run utrku sudionici nisu mogli započeti s istog mjesta i iste startne linije, svatko je mogao trčati individualno uz aplikaciju.

Presretačko vozilo koje predstavlja ciljnu liniju i inače na stazi lovi trkače ovaj je put bilo virtualno. Tako su točno u 13 sati po lokalnom vremenu sudionici 171 nacionalnosti u 104 zemlje krenuli trčati ili se odgurivati u kolicima - svatko svojom stazom.

Iako ove godine nismo mogli u svijet poslati najljepšu razglednicu sa startne linije iz Zadra, poslali smo snažnu poruku o zajedništvu. Više od 4.000 sudionika u cijeloj Hrvatskoj trčalo je po sedmi put za jedan cilj - učiniti ozljede leđne moždine izlječivima.

Najbolje rezultate u Hrvatskoj imali su Mario Filipec (55,18 km) u muškoj i Tea Faber (42,67 km) u ženskoj kategoriji.

Korona ipak nije uspjela zaustaviti najpoznatiji globalni pokret Wings for Life World Run tako da je u nedjelju, 3. svibnja, čak 77 103 sudionika iz 104 zemlje učinilo je ono što se činilo nemogućim u trenutnoj situaciji: istodobno su trčali, hodali ili se odgurivali u kolicima u dobrotvornoj utrci.

Odvojeni daljinom, ali sjedinjeni duhom, sudionici su još jednom pokazali da zajedništvo čini čuda. Tako je u jednom danu prikupljeno 2,8 milijuna eura za istraživanja ozljeda leđne moždine.

Nina Zarina iz Rusije upisala je svoju drugu uzastopnu globalnu pobjedu u ženskoj konkurenciji s pretrčanih 54,23 km.

Michael Taylor iz Velike Britanije postao je globalni pobjednik u muškoj kategoriji nakon što je uspješno bježao od virtualnog presretačkog vozila čak 69,92 km.

„Svi smo doživjeli neka ograničenja u svom životu proteklih tjedana, ali stvari će biti bolje. Osobe s ozljedama leđne moždine cijeli su život u svojevrsnoj izolaciji. I oni sanjaju da im se vrati sloboda i da ponovno rade ono što vole “, rekla je Anita Gerhardter, direktorica neprofitne zaklade Wings for Life, čija je misija pronaći lijek za ozljede leđne moždine.

"Danas se više od 77 000 ljudi pobrinulo za to da cilj Zaklade bude korak bliže."

Iako ove godine Wings for Life World Run utrku sudionici nisu mogli započeti s istog mjesta i iste startne linije, svatko je mogao trčati individualno uz aplikaciju.

Presretačko vozilo koje predstavlja ciljnu liniju i inače na stazi lovi trkače ovaj je put bilo virtualno. Tako su točno u 13 sati po lokalnom vremenu sudionici 171 nacionalnosti u 104 zemlje krenuli trčati ili se odgurivati u kolicima - svatko svojom stazom.

Najbolje rezultate u Hrvatskoj imali su Mario Filipec (55,18 km) u muškoj i Tea Faber (42,67 km) u ženskoj kategoriji.

Iako ove godine nismo mogli u svijet poslati najljepšu razglednicu sa startne linije iz našeg grada, poslali smo snažnu poruku o zajedništvu: više od 4.000 sudionika u cijeloj Hrvatskoj trčalo je po sedmi put za jedan cilj

Iako ove godine nismo mogli u svijet poslati najljepšu razglednicu sa startne linije iz našeg grada, poslali smo snažnu poruku o zajedništvu: više od 4.000 sudionika u cijeloj Hrvatskoj trčalo je po sedmi put za jedan ciljJure Miskovic/Cropix

Korona ipak nije uspjela zaustaviti najpoznatiji globalni pokret Wings for Life World Run tako da je u nedjelju, 3. svibnja, čak 77 103 sudionika iz 104 zemlje učinilo je ono što se činilo nemogućim u trenutnoj situaciji: istodobno su trčali, hodali ili se odgurivali u kolicima u dobrotvornoj utrci.

Odvojeni daljinom, ali sjedinjeni duhom, sudionici su još jednom pokazali da zajedništvo čini čuda. Tako je u jednom danu prikupljeno 2,8 milijuna eura za istraživanja ozljeda leđne moždine.

Nina Zarina iz Rusije upisala je svoju drugu uzastopnu globalnu pobjedu u ženskoj konkurenciji s pretrčanih 54,23 km.

Michael Taylor iz Velike Britanije postao je globalni pobjednik u muškoj kategoriji nakon što je uspješno bježao od virtualnog presretačkog vozila čak 69,92 km.

„Svi smo doživjeli neka ograničenja u svom životu proteklih tjedana, ali stvari će biti bolje. Osobe s ozljedama leđne moždine cijeli su život u svojevrsnoj izolaciji. I oni sanjaju da im se vrati sloboda i da ponovno rade ono što vole “, rekla je Anita Gerhardter, direktorica neprofitne zaklade Wings for Life, čija je misija pronaći lijek za ozljede leđne moždine.

"Danas se više od 77 000 ljudi pobrinulo za to da cilj Zaklade bude korak bliže."

Iako ove godine Wings for Life World Run utrku sudionici nisu mogli započeti s istog mjesta i iste startne linije, svatko je mogao trčati individualno uz aplikaciju.

Presretačko vozilo koje predstavlja ciljnu liniju i inače na stazi lovi trkače ovaj je put bilo virtualno. Tako su točno u 13 sati po lokalnom vremenu sudionici 171 nacionalnosti u 104 zemlje krenuli trčati ili se odgurivati u kolicima - svatko svojom stazom.

Iako ove godine nismo mogli u svijet poslati najljepšu razglednicu sa startne linije iz Zadra, poslali smo snažnu poruku o zajedništvu. Više od 4.000 sudionika u cijeloj Hrvatskoj trčalo je po sedmi put za jedan cilj - učiniti ozljede leđne moždine izlječivima.

Najbolje rezultate u Hrvatskoj imali su Mario Filipec (55,18 km) u muškoj i Tea Faber (42,67 km) u ženskoj kategoriji.

Osmo izdanje Wings for Life World Run utrke održat će se u nedjelju, 9. svibnja 2021. godine.
