U automobilskoj industriji vodik je već dobro istražen, no malo je poznat podatak da se može koristiti i kao pogonsko gorivo dizelskih motora. To je posebno zanimljivo velikim potrošačima nafte poput trajekata koji iznimno utječu na zagađenje okoliša u širem području obalnih i otočnih luka.

Kako nam je u razgovoru za novi broj Otvorenog mora objasnio prof. Gojmir Radica, nužne modifikacije na motorima moguće je obaviti uz potporu Europske unije koja u idućih deset godina planira cijenu toga čistoga energenta prepoloviti na pet eura po kilogramu što će ga učiniti isplativijim od fosilnog goriva. Time će se ne samo podignuti kvaliteta života stanovnika na Jadranu nego će se stvoriti i nova turistička vrijednost.

Elektrifikacija je počela utjecati i na male brodograditelje koji projektiraju trupove potpuno prilagođene čistom pogonu. Kaštelansko-danski deplasmanac Rand Mana 23 po svim je parametrima plovilo budućnosti jer ide na baterije, sagrađen je od recikliranih vlakana, te uz to izgleda vrlo moderno. U automobilskoj industriji vodik je već dobro istražen, no malo je poznat podatak da se može koristiti i kao pogonsko gorivo dizelskih motora. To je posebno zanimljivo velikim potrošačima nafte poput trajekata koji iznimno utječu na zagađenje okoliša u širem području obalnih i otočnih luka.

Kako nam je u razgovoru za novi broj Otvorenog mora objasnio prof. Gojmir Radica, nužne modifikacije na motorima moguće je obaviti uz potporu Europske unije koja u idućih deset godina planira cijenu toga čistoga energenta prepoloviti na pet eura po kilogramu što će ga učiniti isplativijim od fosilnog goriva. Elektrifikacija je počela utjecati i na male brodograditelje koji projektiraju trupove potpuno prilagođene čistom pogonu.
