„Da se ne zaboravi“, naslov je nove knjige zadarskog kroničara Drage Marića, čime je u Biblioteci Grad prešao „okruglu brojku“ od 20 knjiga posvećenih Zadru, njegovim ljudima i događajima.
- Idemo dalje, dok me ne napusti želja za pisanjem i novim saznanjima, ili dok me neka viša sila ne zaustavi. Mogao sam ovu knjigu nazvati i „Skitam, slušam, snimam i zapisujem“, no odlučio sam se za „Da se ne zaboravi“ jer zbog otkidanja od zaborava sve te crtice bilježim i knjige iz Biblioteke Grad objavljujem. Nisam dosljedno svugdje poštivao kronologiju, nego sam crtice izmiješao, kako ne bi bile previše ukalupljene i dosadne – napisao je Drago Marić u uvodnom dijelu knjige, u kojoj na 127 stranica donosi priče i fotografije o Zadranima, anegdotama, kuriozitetima i uspjesima naših sugrađana.
Tako se iz knjige doznaju detalji o (još) jednom fenomenu zadarskog sporta – o skakačima u vodu u Briševu, u kojemu nema ni bazena ni skakaonice, no, piše Marić, ima ljudske dobrote i razumijevanja za zajedničko. Posredstvom načelnika Općine Poličnik Davora Lončara zadarski su skakači dobili prostoriju u novom briševskom društvenom domu gdje su vježbali na trampolinu i u tako nevjerojatnim uvjetima ostvarili vrhunske rezultate.
Marić u novoj knjizi donosi pričicu o stoljeću i pol zadarskog stripa, o kmetstvu na Molatu, o prvoj benkovačkoj štedionici, o otočiću Lazaret, te posebno o „Salonu ogledala“ - brijačkom salonu Gustava Červara, tako nazvanom početkom 20. stoljeća zbog iznimno atraktivnog unutrašnjeg uređenja.
Iz teksta objavljenog 1905. godine o štrajku slagara u dalmatinskim tiskarama, doznajemo da su novinari štrajk nazivali – besposličenje.
„U Zadru još traje besposličenje nekojih slagara u štampariji Narodnog lista. U Splitu su se dali u besposličenje svi slagari, te ondje ne izlaze nijedne novine“, izvijestila je Smotra Dalmatinska.
Iz knjige doznajemo i zašto su žene u Neviđanima rađale isključivo u susjedovoj kući, nikada u svojoj, o pomorskim tečajevima u Silbi, o pučkoj knjižnici u Diklu; poznatog novinara Nikicu Marinkovića upoznajemo i kao pjesnika, doznajemo detalje o velikoj prekretnici u Narodnom listu kada se su pojavili tiskarski strojevi 1958. godine…
Branko Stojaković, Jozo Anzulović, Milan Čanković, Dunja Seferović, Ante Murn, Branka Radman, Tomislav Grbin, Lucija Jurić Bogatić, Katica Burić Ćenan, Ante Mihić, Benito Šarić… - samo su neka od imena o kojima Drago Marić u svojoj novoj, 21-oj knjizi Biblioteke Grad, donosi kratke priče, „da se ne zaboravi.“

Mogao sam ovu knjigu nazvati i „Skitam, slušam, snimam i zapisujem“, no odlučio sam se za „Da se ne zaboravi“ jer zbog otkidanja od zaborava sve te crtice bilježim i knjige iz Biblioteke Grad objavljujem. Nisam dosljedno svugdje poštivao kronologiju, nego sam crtice izmiješao, kako ne bi bile previše ukalupljene i dosadne – napisao je Drago Marić u uvodnom dijelu knjige, u kojoj na 127 stranica donosi priče i fotografije o Zadranima, anegdotama, kuriozitetima i uspjesima naših sugrađana.
Tako se iz knjige doznaju detalji o (još) jednom fenomenu zadarskog sporta – o skakačima u vodu u Briševu, u kojemu nema ni bazena ni skakaonice, no, piše Marić, ima ljudske dobrote i razumijevanja za zajedničko. Posredstvom načelnika Općine Poličnik Davora Lončara zadarski su skakači dobili prostoriju u novom briševskom društvenom domu gdje su vježbali na trampolinu i u tako nevjerojatnim uvjetima ostvarili vrhunske rezultate.
Marić u novoj knjizi donosi pričicu o stoljeću i pol zadarskog stripa, o kmetstvu na Molatu, o prvoj benkovačkoj štedionici, o otočiću Lazaret, te posebno o „Salonu ogledala“ - brijačkom salonu Gustava Červara, tako nazvanom početkom 20. stoljeća zbog iznimno atraktivnog unutrašnjeg uređenja.
Iz teksta objavljenog 1905. godine o štrajku slagara u dalmatinskim tiskarama, doznajemo da su novinari štrajk nazivali – besposličenje.
„U Zadru još traje besposličenje nekojih slagara u štampariji Narodnog lista. U Splitu su se dali u besposličenje svi slagari, te ondje ne izlaze nijedne novine“, izvijestila je Smotra Dalmatinska.
Iz knjige doznajemo i zašto su žene u Neviđanima rađale isključivo u susjedovoj kući, nikada u svojoj, o pomorskim tečajevima u Silbi, o pučkoj knjižnici u Diklu; poznatog novinara Nikicu Marinkovića upoznajemo i kao pjesnika, doznajemo detalje o velikoj prekretnici u Narodnom listu kada se su pojavili tiskarski strojevi 1958. godine…
Branko Stojaković, Jozo Anzulović, Milan Čanković, Dunja Seferović, Ante Murn, Branka Radman, Tomislav Grbin, Lucija Jurić Bogatić, Katica Burić Ćenan, Ante Mihić, Benito Šarić… - samo su neka od imena o kojima Drago Marić u svojoj novoj, 21-oj knjizi Biblioteke Grad, donosi kratke priče, „da se ne zaboravi.“
