Djevojka iz sela kraj Dunkerquea vjerojatno će obilježiti povijest (francuskog) natjecanja za miss: pobijedila je unatoč svojoj različitosti.

Kako i ne bi kad je stvar senzacionalna: pobjednica, nećete vjerovati, ima – kratku kosu.

Ève Gilles, dvadesetogodišnja studentica matematike, na natjecanju održanom u Dijonu izabrana za Miss Francuske 2024., svoj je uspjeh opisala kao pobjedu za “različitost”.

Očito je “nepisano pravilo” ovakvih natjecanja da je jedini poželjni “look” ženstveno duga kosa. Za svoju “različitost” Ève je primila pohvale, ali i kritike gledatelja ovoga natjecanja koje se suočilo s optužbama za seksizam.

Doista, Miss s kratkom kosom nikada nije pobijedila na natjecanju, donosi francuski L’Indépendant, navodeći dalje da “posljednja kandidatkinja koja se okušala u avanturi s ovakvim izborom frizure datira iz 1999. godine”.

Pišu i kako se Ève Gilles tek nedavno odlučila na ovaj estetski izbor. “Odlučila sam se ošišati iz hira, zbog sebe i da ne budem miss. Ali skraćivanje kose onda je izvuklo nešto iz mene, promijenilo me i učinilo da djelujem snažnije”, povjerila je mlada žena medijima nekoliko dana prije izbora.

“Navikli smo vidjeti lijepe misice s dugom kosom, ali ja sam odabrala androgini look s kratkom kosom”, nakon pobjede je rekla Ève, ne samo pobjednica, nego i jedina natjecateljica uopće s kratkom kosom.

Polovicu bodova koje su natjecateljice dobivale određivali su gledatelji, a drugu polovicu žiri sastavljen od sedam žena.

Pobijanje kritika

Na društvenim mrežama mnogi su reagirali s oduševljenjem, pobijajući kritike koje su njezin odabir prikazivale ispolitiziranim.

Možda nova Miss France nije prekrasna u vašim očima, ali smatrati njezinu kratku kosu gestom osjetljivosti na društvene nepravde... To je jednostavno smiješno, rekao je jedan obožavatelj nove Miss Francuske na X-u.

“Ève Gilles je nova Miss Francuske 2024., vaše zlonamjerne i beskorisne kritike to neće promijeniti, ona je divna”, rekao je drugi X korisnik.

Alexia Laroche-Joubert, izvršna direktorica tvrtke Banijay France koja posjeduje brend Miss Francuske, branila je natjecanje kao simbol “uspjeha” koji omogućuje društveni uspon natjecateljicama koje su kasnije postale “poslovne žene, liječnice ili filmske redateljice”.

Kriteriji natječaja su “modernizirani”, rekla je, na način da više ne postoji dobna granica za sudionike, koji sada također mogu biti oženjeni ili transrodni.

Međutim, kritičari smatraju da je razvoj natjecanja nedovoljan.

Melinda Bizri iz Lige za ljudska prava u Dijonu, koja je pozvala na bojkot natjecanja, tvrdi: “Žene su se cijeli život zlostavljale kako bi postigle te fantazmagorične kriterije, prema obrascima za čije dekonstruiranje treba jako puno vremena”, rekla je.

“Natjecanje Miss Francuske još uvijek je jednako seksističko u načinu na koji klasificira žene prema kriterijima ljepote”, dodala je Violaine de Filippis, glasnogovornica udruge Dare Feminism!.

Djevojka iz sela kraj Dunkerquea vjerojatno će obilježiti povijest (francuskog) natjecanja za miss: pobijedila je unatoč svojoj različitosti.

Kako i ne bi kad je stvar senzacionalna: pobjednica, nećete vjerovati, ima – kratku kosu.

Ève Gilles, dvadesetogodišnja studentica matematike, na natjecanju održanom u Dijonu izabrana za Miss Francuske 2024., svoj je uspjeh opisala kao pobjedu za “različitost”.

Očito je “nepisano pravilo” ovakvih natjecanja da je jedini poželjni “look” ženstveno duga kosa. Za svoju “različitost” Ève je primila pohvale, ali i kritike gledatelja ovoga natjecanja koje se suočilo s optužbama za seksizam.

Doista, Miss s kratkom kosom nikada nije pobijedila na natjecanju, donosi francuski L’Indépendant, navodeći dalje da “posljednja kandidatkinja koja se okušala u avanturi s ovakvim izborom frizure datira iz 1999. godine”.

Pišu i kako se Ève Gilles tek nedavno odlučila na ovaj estetski izbor. “Odlučila sam se ošišati iz hira, zbog sebe i da ne budem miss. Ali skraćivanje kose onda je izvuklo nešto iz mene, promijenilo me i učinilo da djelujem snažnije”, povjerila je mlada žena medijima nekoliko dana prije izbora.

“Navikli smo vidjeti lijepe misice s dugom kosom, ali ja sam odabrala androgini look s kratkom kosom”, nakon pobjede je rekla Ève, ne samo pobjednica, nego i jedina natjecateljica uopće s kratkom kosom.

Polovicu bodova koje su natjecateljice dobivale određivali su gledatelji, a drugu polovicu žiri sastavljen od sedam žena.

Pobijanje kritika

Na društvenim mrežama mnogi su reagirali s oduševljenjem, pobijajući kritike koje su njezin odabir prikazivale ispolitiziranim.

Možda nova Miss France nije prekrasna u vašim očima, ali smatrati njezinu kratku kosu gestom osjetljivosti na društvene nepravde... To je jednostavno smiješno, rekao je jedan obožavatelj nove Miss Francuske na X-u.

“Ève Gilles je nova Miss Francuske 2024., vaše zlonamjerne i beskorisne kritike to neće promijeniti, ona je divna”, rekao je drugi X korisnik.

Alexia Laroche-Joubert, izvršna direktorica tvrtke Banijay France koja posjeduje brend Miss Francuske, branila je natjecanje kao simbol “uspjeha” koji omogućuje društveni uspon natjecateljicama koje su kasnije postale “poslovne žene, liječnice ili filmske redateljice”.

Kriteriji natječaja su “modernizirani”, rekla je, na način da više ne postoji dobna granica za sudionike, koji sada također mogu biti oženjeni ili transrodni.

Međutim, kritičari smatraju da je razvoj natjecanja nedovoljan.

Melinda Bizri iz Lige za ljudska prava u Dijonu, koja je pozvala na bojkot natjecanja, tvrdi: “Žene su se cijeli život zlostavljale kako bi postigle te fantazmagorične kriterije, prema obrascima za čije dekonstruiranje treba jako puno vremena”, rekla je.

“Natjecanje Miss Francuske još uvijek je jednako seksističko u načinu na koji klasificira žene prema kriterijima ljepote”, dodala je Violaine de Filippis, glasnogovornica udruge Dare Feminism!.
