Na području Grada Benkovca, prema bazi podataka koju službeno vodi gradska uprava, trenutno ima registriranih 110 tvrtki, dok se u registrima Županije zadarske bilježi i 275 obrta.
Među top 10 najvećih poduzeća po broju djelatnika u Benkovcu na prvom je mjestu prema broju 547 zaposlenih tvrtka "LTH Metalni lijev", slijedi "Omega 3", ribarska zadruga s 80 radnika, potom "Viktor Zadar" s 37, "Žuvela" s 30, "Mineral IGM" - 29, šesta je tvrtka "Olimp" - 28, "Badel 1862 - Vinarija Benkovac" - 25, "Kamen Benkovac" - 20, "Energana Benkovac" - 17, te na desetom mjestu "Asphalt&beton-Knafl" s 13 radnika, što ukupno čini 826 zaposlenih u tom segmentu.
Prema podacima koje je objavio Hrvatski zavod za mirovinsko osiguranje, sa stanjem na dan 30. rujna, na području Grada Benkovca je trenutno po osnovi zaposlenja osigurano 2580 stanovnika (2251 radnik kod pravne osobe, 150 obrtnika, 159 poljoprivrednika i 20 samostalne profesionalne djelatnosti". U sustavu Hrvatskog zavoda za zapošljavanje (HZZ), na dan 30. rujna bile su evidentirane 203 nezaposlene osobe na administrativnom području Benkovca.
Grane djelatnosti koje bilježe najstrmiji uzlazni trend, promatrajući isključivo broj otvorenih tvrtki na sjecištu Ravnih kotara i Bukovice, u prvom su redu građevinarstvo, prerađivačka industrija te prijevoz i skladištenje, navodi se u službenom dokumentu Strategija razvoja grada. Ako netko želi dobiti brzo zaposlenje na području Benkovca, prema HZZ-ovim podacima, najtraženija zanimanja bila su berač (beračica) poljoprivrednih proizvoda, zidar, prodavačica, rukovatelj građevinskim strojevima i CNC operater.

Kako doznajemo, u lokalnoj samoupravi (gradska uprava, Razvojna agencija "BERA", predškolska ustanova "Bubamara", Gradska knjižnica, Zavičajni muzej, Javna vatrogasna postrojba i Centar za pružanje usluga u zajednici "Sveti Ante") zaposleno je 116 djelatnika. U tvrtkama u kojima je Grad (su)vlasnik radi još 95 ljudi.
Benkovac ima i ambiciozne planove. U Akcijskom planu gradske uprave, kao glavni ciljevi postavljeni su jačanje uloge Benkovca kao središta društvenog života Ravnih Kotara i Bukovice te poboljšanje životnog standarda građana, korištenje potencijala prostornog značaja kroz očuvanje i održivo korištenje prostornih resursa, povećanje kapaciteta na području Grada Benkovca za razvoj malog i srednjeg poduzetništva, s naglaskom na poljoprivrednu i ekološku proizvodnju, prerađivačke djelatnosti, trgovinu i održivi turizam.
Rekonstrukcija stare gradske jezgre, obnova Doma kulture, unapređenje infrastrukture i valorizacija Benkovačkog sajma samo su neki dijelovi Intervencijskog plana, ukupno "teškog" 23 milijuna eura, koji bi trebao potpuno preobraziti taj, nekoć vrlo imućan kraj, uz sve veće jačanje i ruralnog turizma kroz Turističku zajednicu Ravni kotari.

Na području Grada Benkovca, prema bazi podataka koju službeno vodi gradska uprava, trenutno ima registriranih 110 tvrtki, dok se u registrima Županije zadarske bilježi i 275 obrta.
Među top 10 najvećih poduzeća po broju djelatnika u Benkovcu na prvom je mjestu prema broju 547 zaposlenih tvrtka "LTH Metalni lijev", slijedi "Omega 3", ribarska zadruga s 80 radnika, potom "Viktor Zadar" s 37, "Žuvela" s 30, "Mineral IGM" - 29, šesta je tvrtka "Olimp" - 28, "Badel 1862 - Vinarija Benkovac" - 25, "Kamen Benkovac" - 20, "Energana Benkovac" - 17, te na desetom mjestu "Asphalt&beton-Knafl" s 13 radnika, što ukupno čini 826 zaposlenih u tom segmentu.
Prema podacima koje je objavio Hrvatski zavod za mirovinsko osiguranje, sa stanjem na dan 30. rujna, na području Grada Benkovca je trenutno po osnovi zaposlenja osigurano 2580 stanovnika (2251 radnik kod pravne osobe, 150 obrtnika, 159 poljoprivrednika i 20 samostalne profesionalne djelatnosti". U sustavu Hrvatskog zavoda za zapošljavanje (HZZ), na dan 30. rujna bile su evidentirane 203 nezaposlene osobe na administrativnom području Benkovca.
Grane djelatnosti koje bilježe najstrmiji uzlazni trend, promatrajući isključivo broj otvorenih tvrtki na sjecištu Ravnih kotara i Bukovice, u prvom su redu građevinarstvo, prerađivačka industrija te prijevoz i skladištenje, navodi se u službenom dokumentu Strategija razvoja grada. Ako netko želi dobiti brzo zaposlenje na području Benkovca, prema HZZ-ovim podacima, najtraženija zanimanja bila su berač (beračica) poljoprivrednih proizvoda, zidar, prodavačica, rukovatelj građevinskim strojevima i CNC operater.

Kako doznajemo, u lokalnoj samoupravi (gradska uprava, Razvojna agencija "BERA", predškolska ustanova "Bubamara", Gradska knjižnica, Zavičajni muzej, Javna vatrogasna postrojba i Centar za pružanje usluga u zajednici "Sveti Ante") zaposleno je 116 djelatnika. U tvrtkama u kojima je Grad (su)vlasnik radi još 95 ljudi.
Benkovac ima i ambiciozne planove. U Akcijskom planu gradske uprave, kao glavni ciljevi postavljeni su jačanje uloge Benkovca kao središta društvenog života Ravnih Kotara i Bukovice te poboljšanje životnog standarda građana, korištenje potencijala prostornog značaja kroz očuvanje i održivo korištenje prostornih resursa, povećanje kapaciteta na području Grada Benkovca za razvoj malog i srednjeg poduzetništva, s naglaskom na poljoprivrednu i ekološku proizvodnju, prerađivačke djelatnosti, trgovinu i održivi turizam.
Rekonstrukcija stare gradske jezgre, obnova Doma kulture, unapređenje infrastrukture i valorizacija Benkovačkog sajma samo su neki dijelovi Intervencijskog plana, ukupno "teškog" 23 milijuna eura, koji bi trebao potpuno preobraziti taj, nekoć vrlo imućan kraj, uz sve veće jačanje i ruralnog turizma kroz Turističku zajednicu Ravni kotari.
