Đirani su cvijeće koje ne zahtijeva puno pažnje i uspijevaju i na prozorima i balkonima vrtlarskih amatera. 1. PROSTOR
Botaničari uvijek pojašnjavaju da je korijen biljke iste veličine kao i njen vanjski dio, dakle nedovoljno je za jednu veliku stabljiku uzeti plitku lončanicu. Također ako sadite više biljaka na isto mjesto, nikako ih nemojte pregusto nanizati jer će tako jedna drugoj priječiti rast i krasti vodu.

2. SUNCE
Điranima je potrebno sunce i ako ga ne dobivaju dovoljno neće adekvatno procvasti i širiti se. Slobodno ih možete ostaviti na direktnom suncu i preživjet će, a što više sunca imali i boja će im biti jarkija. Možete ih staviti i u polu hlad, a ako vidite da se isušuju u vrijeme kada je najveća vrućina dakle oko sredine dana ih sklonite od zraka tendom.

Ovo cvijeće kao i većina drugoga raste u smjeru izvora svjetlosti i zato ih je dobro povremeno okretati za 45 ili 90 stupnjeva i tako omogućiti da se sve strane jednako razviju.
3. VODA
Đirani izvorno dolaze iz Južne Afrike, gdje su dulja razdoblja suše potpuno prirodna. Biljka ih preživljava pohranjujući puno tekućine u svojim mesnatim listovima i debelim stabljikama, tako da povremeni nedostatak vode obično ne uzrokuje trajnu štetu. To ne znači da je to za đirane dobro, ako želite da što bujnije procvjetaju dobro ih zalijte, a one će vam zahvalnost pokazati bojom. Tijekom vrućih proljetnih i ljetnih dana treba ih zalijevati svaki dan, ali pazite da ne pretjerate s količinom. Provjerite tanjurić ispod lončanice, pa ako je natopljen vodom ga izlijte.

4. 'HRANA'
Đirani imaju visoku potrebu za hranjivim tvarima i zato je gnojidba presudna da biste imali velika, zdrave i bujne biljke. Ako koristite visokokvalitetni, prethodno obogaćeni kompost za lončanice, to će biti dovoljno za prvih nekoliko tjedana. Nakon toga, hranjive tvari u kompostu će se iscrpiti i morat ćete primijeniti mineralno gnojivo. Talog kave prirodno je, efikasno, a jeftino gnojivo za đirane jer sadrži pravu kombinaciju kalija, dušika i fosfora tako da može poslužiti kao odlična zamjena.

5. OBREZIVANJE
Da biste svojim điranima omogućili da svu energiju ulože u stvaranje novih cvjetova, redovito obrezujte odumrle izbojke i lišće. Postoje vrste koje se i same čiste pa tada možete preskočiti ovaj korak.
6. ZAŠTITA OD MRAZA
Đirane se povremeno tretira kao sezonsku biljku dok oni uz malo truda mogu potrajati godinama. Prije nego dođe prava zima, odrežite biljku an visinu od 15 centimetara i pokrijte je te premjestite na mjesto na kojem temperatura preferabilno ne pada ispod pet stupnjeva.

1. PROSTOR
Botaničari uvijek pojašnjavaju da je korijen biljke iste veličine kao i njen vanjski dio, dakle nedovoljno je za jednu veliku stabljiku uzeti plitku lončanicu. Također ako sadite više biljaka na isto mjesto, nikako ih nemojte pregusto nanizati jer će tako jedna drugoj priječiti rast i krasti vodu.

2. SUNCE
Điranima je potrebno sunce i ako ga ne dobivaju dovoljno neće adekvatno procvasti i širiti se. Slobodno ih možete ostaviti na direktnom suncu i preživjet će, a što više sunca imali i boja će im biti jarkija. Možete ih staviti i u polu hlad, a ako vidite da se isušuju u vrijeme kada je najveća vrućina dakle oko sredine dana ih sklonite od zraka tendom.

Ovo cvijeće kao i većina drugoga raste u smjeru izvora svjetlosti i zato ih je dobro povremeno okretati za 45 ili 90 stupnjeva i tako omogućiti da se sve strane jednako razviju.
3. VODA
Đirani izvorno dolaze iz Južne Afrike, gdje su dulja razdoblja suše potpuno prirodna. Biljka ih preživljava pohranjujući puno tekućine u svojim mesnatim listovima i debelim stabljikama, tako da povremeni nedostatak vode obično ne uzrokuje trajnu štetu. To ne znači da je to za đirane dobro, ako želite da što bujnije procvjetaju dobro ih zalijte, a one će vam zahvalnost pokazati bojom. Tijekom vrućih proljetnih i ljetnih dana treba ih zalijevati svaki dan, ali pazite da ne pretjerate s količinom. Provjerite tanjurić ispod lončanice, pa ako je natopljen vodom ga izlijte.

4. 'HRANA'
Đirani imaju visoku potrebu za hranjivim tvarima i zato je gnojidba presudna da biste imali velika, zdrave i bujne biljke. Ako koristite visokokvalitetni, prethodno obogaćeni kompost za lončanice, to će biti dovoljno za prvih nekoliko tjedana. Nakon toga, hranjive tvari u kompostu će se iscrpiti i morat ćete primijeniti mineralno gnojivo. Talog kave prirodno je, efikasno, a jeftino gnojivo za đirane jer sadrži pravu kombinaciju kalija, dušika i fosfora tako da može poslužiti kao odlična zamjena.

5. OBREZIVANJE
Da biste svojim điranima omogućili da svu energiju ulože u stvaranje novih cvjetova, redovito obrezujte odumrle izbojke i lišće. Postoje vrste koje se i same čiste pa tada možete preskočiti ovaj korak.
6. ZAŠTITA OD MRAZA
Đirane se povremeno tretira kao sezonsku biljku dok oni uz malo truda mogu potrajati godinama. Prije nego dođe prava zima, odrežite biljku an visinu od 15 centimetara i pokrijte je te premjestite na mjesto na kojem temperatura preferabilno ne pada ispod pet stupnjeva.
