Otac osmero djece, 44-godišnji Mateo Torić, koji je nakon smrti supruge Dijane ostao jedini roditelj svojim brojnim mališanima, nadomak je ostvarenja sna za svoju obitelj. Na sam Badnjak pronašli su novo mjesto za život čime je okončana potraga za kućom kojom će zamijeniti tijesnih 60 četvornih metara u kojima se sada nalaze. Potraga za novim mjestom 'pod suncem' omogućena im je humanitarnom akcijom u kojoj je od studenog za Toriće prikupljeno 2,4 milijuna kuna.

- Dugo smo obilazili različita mjesta u potrazi za kućom za našu brojnu obitelj u okviru iznosa s kojim raspolažemo. I baš na Badnjak došli smo do ovog mjesta. Vlasnik nam je odmah izašao u susret. Ispalo je na kraju da se poznajemo i da sam s njegovim kćerima išao u školu. Kućom bi djeca dobila što im je potrebno za normalan život, a vlasnik bi nam ostavio i većinu namještaja, no za kuću nedostaje još 200 tisuća kuna. Mi smo potpisali predugovor i negdje u veljači bi trebali preseliti. Kuća je na Bokanjcu blizu moje obitelji, moje majke, koja mi pomaže oko djece. Blizu je škola i vrtić što mi je bilo jako važno - rekao je na Silvestrovo Mateo Torić, profesor povijesti i geografije.

Njegova supruga Dijana razboljela se 2020. kada su joj otkrivene metastaze malignog melanoma 4 stadija, tj. zloćudni rak kože. Iako su poduzete sve zdravstvene terapije, od pametnih lijekova, zračenja i imunoterapije, 16. srpnja 2021. Dijana je preminula sa 37 godina života. Prerana smrt mlade majke osmero malene djece potresla je Zadar. Mateo je ostao živjeti s djecom u malom stanu sa dvije sobe zbog čega se za pomoć obratio javnosti da mu pomogne u kupnji obiteljske kuće kako bi mogli dostojanstvenije živjeti.

- Nemam riječi kojima bi opisao naše veselje. Djeca su presretna. Ne mogu vjerovati da će se to uistinu dogoditi i da bi mogli imati svoje sobe. Neizmjerno sam zahvalan svima – rekao je uzbuđeno Mateo čija bi obitelj u novu kuću trebala preseliti krajem veljače.

Otac osmero djece, 44-godišnji Mateo Torić, koji je nakon smrti supruge Dijane ostao jedini roditelj svojim brojnim mališanima, nadomak je ostvarenja sna za svoju obitelj. Na sam Badnjak pronašli su novo mjesto za život čime je okončana potraga za kućom kojom će zamijeniti tijesnih 60 četvornih metara u kojima se sada nalaze. Potraga za novim mjestom 'pod suncem' omogućena im je humanitarnom akcijom u kojoj je od studenog za Toriće prikupljeno 2,4 milijuna kuna.

- Dugo smo obilazili različita mjesta u potrazi za kućom za našu brojnu obitelj u okviru iznosa s kojim raspolažemo. I baš na Badnjak došli smo do ovog mjesta. Vlasnik nam je odmah izašao u susret. Ispalo je na kraju da se poznajemo i da sam s njegovim kćerima išao u školu. Kućom bi djeca dobila što im je potrebno za normalan život, a vlasnik bi nam ostavio i većinu namještaja, no za kuću nedostaje još 200 tisuća kuna. Mi smo potpisali predugovor i negdje u veljači bi trebali preseliti. Kuća je na Bokanjcu blizu moje obitelji, moje majke, koja mi pomaže oko djece. Blizu je škola i vrtić što mi je bilo jako važno - rekao je na Silvestrovo Mateo Torić, profesor povijesti i geografije.

Njegova supruga Dijana razboljela se 2020. kada su joj otkrivene metastaze malignog melanoma 4 stadija, tj. zloćudni rak kože. Iako su poduzete sve zdravstvene terapije, od pametnih lijekova, zračenja i imunoterapije, 16. srpnja 2021. Dijana je preminula sa 37 godina života. Prerana smrt mlade majke osmero malene djece potresla je Zadar. Mateo je ostao živjeti s djecom u malom stanu sa dvije sobe zbog čega se za pomoć obratio javnosti da mu pomogne u kupnji obiteljske kuće kako bi mogli dostojanstvenije živjeti.
