Na današnji dan, 1920. godine, rođen je Josip Manolić, bivši premijer i jedan od najpoznatijih umirovljenika u Hrvatskoj, prisjetili su se na portalu Mirovina.hr, u svojoj rubrici Vremeplov.

Josip Manolić polarizirajuća je figura u hrvatskoj politici proteklih nekoliko desetljeća. U Jugoslaviji je bio visokopozicionirani pripadnik UDBE, a početkom devedesetih bio je jedan od najbližih suradnika prvog predsjednika Republike Hrvatske – Franje Tuđmana. Pripada generaciji političara koji su igrali važne uloge u oblikovanju hrvatske povijesti unazad nešto više od pola stoljeća.

Politikom se počeo baviti dosta rano, kao 19-godišnjak primljen je u Komunističku partiju Jugoslavije gdje je napredovao do mjesta sekretara Okružnog komiteta SKOJ-a za Novu Gradišku. Za vrijeme NDH bio je uhićen od strane ustaških vlasti zbog raspačavanja letaka KPJ, no kazna ga je zaobišla. Nakon toga odlazi u Zagreb gdje je poticao razvoj partizanskog pokreta. Kao partijski agitator komunizma obišao je cijelu Hrvatsku, a naposlijetku je kao partijski dužnosnik smješten u Bjelovar.

UDBA, OZNA, HDZ…

U listopadu 1944. imenovan je za načelnika OZNE 2 (koja je bila zadužena za unutarnje prijetnje) u Bjelovaru. Godine 1946. ponovno prelazi u Zagreb na mjesto načelnika Odjela za ivršavanje kaznenih sankcija u Sekretarijatu za unutarnje poslove – bio je šef zatvora u komunističkoj Hrvatskoj. Tu dužnost obavljao je do 1963. godine.

U međuvremenu je diplomirao na Pravnom fakultetu u Zagrebu 1960., a iste godine postaje šef Sekretatijata unutarnjih poslova u SFRJ. Pet godina kasnije izabran je u Sabor SRH, a bio je članom Ustavne komisije, predsjednik Zakonodavno-pravne komisije i predsjednik Organizacijsko-političkog odbora.

Za vrijeme Hrvatskog proljeća postaje politički disident i tu zapravo počinje njegova suradnja s Franjom Tuđmanom. Kao rukovoditelj CK Saveza komunista Hrvatske na 20. kongresu 1989. sudjelovao je u donošenju odluke o raspisivanju prvih višestarnačkih parlamentarnih izbora u Hrvatskoj. Jedan je od osnivača HDZ-a na zagrebačkom Jarunu, a 1990. postaje potpredsjednik Predsjedništva Republike Hrvatske. Nakon osamostaljenja se može reći da je bio drugi čovjek u državi, odmah iza Franje Tuđmana. Od 24. kolovoza 1990. do 17. srpnja 1991. obnašao je dužnost predsjednika Vlade RH naslijedivši Stjepana Mesića na toj dužnosti. Za vrijeme njegovog mandata Sabor je donio Ustavnu odluku o suverenosti i samostalnosti Republike Hrvatske, kao i deklaraciju o proglašenju samostalnosti čime je započet proces razdruživanja od Jugoslavije.

Zbog frakcijskih borbi unutar HDZ-a, zajedno sa Stjepanom Mesićem, Slavkom Degoricijom i drugima napušta stranku 1994. godina, a sljedeće godine osnivaju svoju stranku Hrvatskih nezavisnih demokrata kojoj je bio i predsjednik.

Danas je u mirovini, politikom se ne bavi aktivno. O svojem dugom političkom angažmanu napisao je i memoare – Politika i domovina: Moja borba za suvremenu i socijalnu Hrvatsku, piše Mirovina.hr.

Na današnji dan, 1920. godine, rođen je Josip Manolić, bivši premijer i jedan od najpoznatijih umirovljenika u Hrvatskoj, prisjetili su se na portalu Mirovina.hr, u svojoj rubrici Vremeplov.

Josip Manolić polarizirajuća je figura u hrvatskoj politici proteklih nekoliko desetljeća. U Jugoslaviji je bio visokopozicionirani pripadnik UDBE, a početkom devedesetih bio je jedan od najbližih suradnika prvog predsjednika Republike Hrvatske – Franje Tuđmana. Pripada generaciji političara koji su igrali važne uloge u oblikovanju hrvatske povijesti unazad nešto više od pola stoljeća.

Politikom se počeo baviti dosta rano, kao 19-godišnjak primljen je u Komunističku partiju Jugoslavije gdje je napredovao do mjesta sekretara Okružnog komiteta SKOJ-a za Novu Gradišku. Za vrijeme NDH bio je uhićen od strane ustaških vlasti zbog raspačavanja letaka KPJ, no kazna ga je zaobišla. Nakon toga odlazi u Zagreb gdje je poticao razvoj partizanskog pokreta. Kao partijski agitator komunizma obišao je cijelu Hrvatsku, a naposlijetku je kao partijski dužnosnik smješten u Bjelovar.

UDBA, OZNA, HDZ…

U listopadu 1944. imenovan je za načelnika OZNE 2 (koja je bila zadužena za unutarnje prijetnje) u Bjelovaru. Godine 1946. ponovno prelazi u Zagreb na mjesto načelnika Odjela za ivršavanje kaznenih sankcija u Sekretarijatu za unutarnje poslove – bio je šef zatvora u komunističkoj Hrvatskoj. Tu dužnost obavljao je do 1963. godine.

U međuvremenu je diplomirao na Pravnom fakultetu u Zagrebu 1960., a iste godine postaje šef Sekretatijata unutarnjih poslova u SFRJ. Pet godina kasnije izabran je u Sabor SRH, a bio je članom Ustavne komisije, predsjednik Zakonodavno-pravne komisije i predsjednik Organizacijsko-političkog odbora.

Za vrijeme Hrvatskog proljeća postaje politički disident i tu zapravo počinje njegova suradnja s Franjom Tuđmanom. Kao rukovoditelj CK Saveza komunista Hrvatske na 20. kongresu 1989. sudjelovao je u donošenju odluke o raspisivanju prvih višestarnačkih parlamentarnih izbora u Hrvatskoj. Jedan je od osnivača HDZ-a na zagrebačkom Jarunu, a 1990. postaje potpredsjednik Predsjedništva Republike Hrvatske. Nakon osamostaljenja se može reći da je bio drugi čovjek u državi, odmah iza Franje Tuđmana. Od 24. kolovoza 1990. do 17. srpnja 1991. obnašao je dužnost predsjednika Vlade RH naslijedivši Stjepana Mesića na toj dužnosti. Za vrijeme njegovog mandata Sabor je donio Ustavnu odluku o suverenosti i samostalnosti Republike Hrvatske, kao i deklaraciju o proglašenju samostalnosti čime je započet proces razdruživanja od Jugoslavije.

Zbog frakcijskih borbi unutar HDZ-a, zajedno sa Stjepanom Mesićem, Slavkom Degoricijom i drugima napušta stranku 1994. godina, a sljedeće godine osnivaju svoju stranku Hrvatskih nezavisnih demokrata kojoj je bio i predsjednik.

Na današnji dan, 1920. godine, rođen je Josip Manolić, bivši premijer i jedan od najpoznatijih umirovljenika u Hrvatskoj, prisjetili su se na portalu Mirovina.hr, u svojoj rubrici Vremeplov.

Josip Manolić polarizirajuća je figura u hrvatskoj politici proteklih nekoliko desetljeća. U Jugoslaviji je bio visokopozicionirani pripadnik UDBE, a početkom devedesetih bio je jedan od najbližih suradnika prvog predsjednika Republike Hrvatske – Franje Tuđmana. Pripada generaciji političara koji su igrali važne uloge u oblikovanju hrvatske povijesti unazad nešto više od pola stoljeća.

Politikom se počeo baviti dosta rano, kao 19-godišnjak primljen je u Komunističku partiju Jugoslavije gdje je napredovao do mjesta sekretara Okružnog komiteta SKOJ-a za Novu Gradišku. Za vrijeme NDH bio je uhićen od strane ustaških vlasti zbog raspačavanja letaka KPJ, no kazna ga je zaobišla. Nakon toga odlazi u Zagreb gdje je poticao razvoj partizanskog pokreta. Kao partijski agitator komunizma obišao je cijelu Hrvatsku, a naposlijetku je kao partijski dužnosnik smješten u Bjelovar.

UDBA, OZNA, HDZ…

U listopadu 1944. imenovan je za načelnika OZNE 2 (koja je bila zadužena za unutarnje prijetnje) u Bjelovaru. Godine 1946. ponovno prelazi u Zagreb na mjesto načelnika Odjela za ivršavanje kaznenih sankcija u Sekretarijatu za unutarnje poslove – bio je šef zatvora u komunističkoj Hrvatskoj. Tu dužnost obavljao je do 1963. godine.

U međuvremenu je diplomirao na Pravnom fakultetu u Zagrebu 1960., a iste godine postaje šef Sekretatijata unutarnjih poslova u SFRJ. Pet godina kasnije izabran je u Sabor SRH, a bio je članom Ustavne komisije, predsjednik Zakonodavno-pravne komisije i predsjednik Organizacijsko-političkog odbora.

Za vrijeme Hrvatskog proljeća postaje politički disident i tu zapravo počinje njegova suradnja s Franjom Tuđmanom. Kao rukovoditelj CK Saveza komunista Hrvatske na 20. kongresu 1989. sudjelovao je u donošenju odluke o raspisivanju prvih višestarnačkih parlamentarnih izbora u Hrvatskoj. Jedan je od osnivača HDZ-a na zagrebačkom Jarunu, a 1990. postaje potpredsjednik Predsjedništva Republike Hrvatske. Nakon osamostaljenja se može reći da je bio drugi čovjek u državi, odmah iza Franje Tuđmana. Od 24. kolovoza 1990. do 17. srpnja 1991. obnašao je dužnost predsjednika Vlade RH naslijedivši Stjepana Mesića na toj dužnosti. Za vrijeme njegovog mandata Sabor je donio Ustavnu odluku o suverenosti i samostalnosti Republike Hrvatske, kao i deklaraciju o proglašenju samostalnosti čime je započet proces razdruživanja od Jugoslavije.

Zbog frakcijskih borbi unutar HDZ-a, zajedno sa Stjepanom Mesićem, Slavkom Degoricijom i drugima napušta stranku 1994. godina, a sljedeće godine osnivaju svoju stranku Hrvatskih nezavisnih demokrata kojoj je bio i predsjednik.
