Pet obitelji u Otočcu imat će ljepše i humanije blagdane. Tih pet teških priča i sudbina, makar tijekom Božića i Nove godine, bit će možda malo ljepše. Te će obitelji imati punije stolove i sretnije obiteljske trenutke uz spoznaju da su dobili nove prijatelje. U četvrtak u prijepodnevnim satima posjetili su ih u Otočcu članovi Udruge dobrovoljnih darivatelja krvi Vir. Koji dan ranije napunili su veliki kombi do vrha s hranom i potrepštinama i odveli ga u Otočac.

- Bilo je teško, ljudi su plakali od sreće. No radosni smo jer smo mogli pomoći i upoznali smo vrlo drage ljude u Otočcu - kaže Goran Vicković, predsjednik virskog UDDK-a i neumorni otočni humanitarac. Teško je pobrojati gdje je sve i na koje adrese stigla virska pomoć, no uvijek je usmjerena na one kojima je pomoć najpotrebnija. Do obitelji iz Otočca dovela ih je humanitarna zagrebačka udruga Dobra volja, s kojom Virani surađuju već nekoliko godina na projektu ljetovanja za osobe slabijeg imovinskog stanja, ili za osobe kojima morska klima i ambijent mora djeluju terapijski. Otočac je ipak neka druga priča, neka još tužnija hrvatska stvarnost. Darko Jeremić samohrani je otac šestero maloljetne djece čija je supruga prije četiri godine umrla od raka dojke. Ilija Kostelac brine se o dvoje djece, jedno je s posebnim potrebama. Supruga je nezaposlena, a Ilija je cijeli život radio na minimalcu. Sada ne radi. Jelena Snježan Tomaić majka je troje djece, jedno je dijete u invalidskim kolicima. Nitko u obitelji ne radi. Vlado Kostelac je nezaposleni hrvatski branitelj. Teško je bolestan, pa sa suprugom živi od socijalne pomoći. Jedna osamdeset i petogodišnja baka ima dva bolesna sina. Jedan ima epilepsiju, drugi je slabovidan.

Do ovih obitelji i njihovih teških sudbina Virane je dovela članica Dobre volje Jelena Benčić. Dovoljno je bilo pozvati Virane čija humanitarna misija, pored darivanja krvi, traje duže od desetljeća. Tako su s predsjednikom Vickovićem na put išle Barbara Buškulić, Mimoza Jevremović i Alida Bulić Cvitkušić, koje su predale donacije obiteljima u čijem je prikupljanju sudjelovao i virski ugostitelj Elio Kuraja. Virski donator Mario Filipović, koji je s Viranima također bio u Otočcu, obiteljima je poklonio po 400 kuna. Filipovićevi roditelji stalno žive na otoku, dok Mario živi i radi u Njemačkoj. Došao je pomoći. No umjesto njih

mogao je to biti netko drugi s otoka, ili bilo koji član virske udruge. Članovi i prijatelji virskog UDDK-a uvijek pronađu put do onih kojima je pomoć potrebna, na ponos cijelog otoka. Pet obitelji iz Otočca bit će sretnije ovog Božića. Imaju nove prijatelje, a šestero mališana sa samohranim ocem od četvrtka posjeduje još i novi donirani televizor i mobitel.

Pet obitelji u Otočcu imat će ljepše i humanije blagdane. Tih pet teških priča i sudbina, makar tijekom Božića i Nove godine, bit će možda malo ljepše. Te će obitelji imati punije stolove i sretnije obiteljske trenutke uz spoznaju da su dobili nove prijatelje. U četvrtak u prijepodnevnim satima posjetili su ih u Otočcu članovi Udruge dobrovoljnih darivatelja krvi Vir. Koji dan ranije napunili su veliki kombi do vrha s hranom i potrepštinama i odveli ga u Otočac.

- Bilo je teško, ljudi su plakali od sreće. No radosni smo jer smo mogli pomoći i upoznali smo vrlo drage ljude u Otočcu - kaže Goran Vicković, predsjednik virskog UDDK-a i neumorni otočni humanitarac. Teško je pobrojati gdje je sve i na koje adrese stigla virska pomoć, no uvijek je usmjerena na one kojima je pomoć najpotrebnija. Do obitelji iz Otočca dovela ih je humanitarna zagrebačka udruga Dobra volja, s kojom Virani surađuju već nekoliko godina na projektu ljetovanja za osobe slabijeg imovinskog stanja, ili za osobe kojima morska klima i ambijent mora djeluju terapijski. Otočac je ipak neka druga priča, neka još tužnija hrvatska stvarnost. Darko Jeremić samohrani je otac šestero maloljetne djece čija je supruga prije četiri godine umrla od raka dojke. Ilija Kostelac brine se o dvoje djece, jedno je s posebnim potrebama. Supruga je nezaposlena, a Ilija je cijeli život radio na minimalcu. Sada ne radi. Jelena Snježan Tomaić majka je troje djece, jedno je dijete u invalidskim kolicima. Nitko u obitelji ne radi. Vlado Kostelac je nezaposleni hrvatski branitelj. Teško je bolestan, pa sa suprugom živi od socijalne pomoći. Jedna osamdeset i petogodišnja baka ima dva bolesna sina. Jedan ima epilepsiju, drugi je slabovidan.

Do ovih obitelji i njihovih teških sudbina Virane je dovela članica Dobre volje Jelena Benčić. Dovoljno je bilo pozvati Virane čija humanitarna misija, pored darivanja krvi, traje duže od desetljeća. Tako su s predsjednikom Vickovićem na put išle Barbara Buškulić, Mimoza Jevremović i Alida Bulić Cvitkušić, koje su predale donacije obiteljima u čijem je prikupljanju sudjelovao i virski ugostitelj Elio Kuraja. Virski donator Mario Filipović, koji je s Viranima također bio u Otočcu, obiteljima je poklonio po 400 kuna. Filipovićevi roditelji stalno žive na otoku, dok Mario živi i radi u Njemačkoj. Došao je pomoći. No umjesto njih

mogao je to biti netko drugi s otoka, ili bilo koji član virske udruge. Članovi i prijatelji virskog UDDK-a uvijek pronađu put do onih kojima je pomoć potrebna, na ponos cijelog otoka. Pet obitelji iz Otočca bit će sretnije ovog Božića. Imaju nove prijatelje, a šestero mališana sa samohranim ocem od četvrtka posjeduje još i novi donirani televizor i mobitel.
