"KUK-0" bila je jedna od najstrože čuvanih tajni u bivšoj Jugoslaviji.

Taj nešto više od kilometra dug bivši vojni objekt specijalne namjene, smješten u njedrima biokovskog masiva, građen je i dograđivan u više navrata od početka pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, pa sve do kraja osamdesetih, a služio je kao pričuvno zapovjedno mjesto i atomsko sklonište za političku elitu tadašnje SFRJ i članove njihovih obitelji.

Prostor na rubu Gornjih Brela bio je opremljen za to vrijeme vrlo naprednom tehnologijom, a sastojao se od više prostorija povezanih dugim tunelom. Unutar njega se nalazilo desetak soba pripremljenih za uvjete nuklearnog rata na čijim su vratima bila ispisana imena tadašnjih članova političkog vodstva na čelu s vrhovnim zapovjednikom Josipom Brozom Titom.

U tunelskom labirintu, građenom stotinjak metara duboko pod zemljom, osim soba nalazile su se prostorije za dekontaminaciju, bolnica, kuhinja, konferencijska dvorana, elektrana sa nekoliko agregata, spremnici za gorivo, trafostanica, bunar s pitkom izvorskom vodom i kompleksni sustav radio veza, kao mnogi drugi sadržaji potrebni za višemjesečnu životnu autonomiju.

Prostor je raspadom države koju je trebao čuvati padao u zaborav, ali zveckanjem nukleranog oružja na istoku Europe ponovno se aktualizirala tema "KUK-a 0" i sličnih skloništa. I dok se po našim gradovima prebrojavaju podrumske prostorije, objekti slični ovom u utrobi Biokova i dalje se devastiraju.

U krševitom podzemlju naći ćete svega, od gljiva do zmija, samo ne onoga maloprije nabrojenog "asortimana" sadržaja. Od početka devedesetih, pa sve do danas, "KUK-0" metom je brojnih pljačkaša.

Danas potpuno devastiran, bez struje, vode i agregata više sliči kao grobnica nego atomsko sklonište. Kako i ne bi kada ga je Ministarstvo obrane svojedobno proglasilo neperspektivnim objektom, slično kao vojarne u Sinju. Istini za volju, sinjska "Kula" je nakon dobranog "čerupanja" je obnovljena i ponovno vojnicima nastanjena.

U biokovskom slučaju, umjesto vojnika, u tom mračnom i vlažnom prostoru svoj prosperitet vidjeli su gljivari. Nažalost, nekoliko uloženih milijuna kuna u uzgoj gljiva, nisu u potpunosti oplođeni, pa objekt i dalje propada.

Ulazilo se u njega, sjekrom sjekli debeli kabeli, vađen bakar iz agregata, gorivo je već odavno pretočeno u privatne "bidune", čak su se iz zidova čupali električni vodovi. Pričinjena je ogromna materijalna šteta.

Da nije, ne bi ga naše Ministartvo proglasilo neperspektivnim. Hvala Bogu da je neperspektivan kada su pojednici "sastrugali" i ligadinu sa zidova.

Prema izjavama očevidaca, prvi kamionski transport iz skloništa bio je odmah nakon što je objekt preuzela Hrvatska vojska. Kompletna bolnica, vrijedna medicinska aparatura i kreveti iz soba, dobili su noge. Sve je otišlo u "nepoznatom smjeru", vjerojatno, tvrde svjedoci, prema nalogu nekoga iz tadašnjih viših organa vlasti.

Bilo kako bilo, praktički do jučer se kroz zatvorene prozore slobodno uskakalo, ali više ne ide tako. Ni na vrata ni na prozor. Zabranilo Ministarstvo obrane, kažu upućeniji, pa je i naš fotoreporter ostao uskračen za par "sočnih" fotografija interijera velebnog podzemnog objekta.

Vanjski izgled "KUK-a 0" govori o zapuštenosti vojne baze kod Gornjih Brela radi koje su se, iako to nikad nije potvrđeno, trebali iseliti mještani bližih zaselaka dok je izgradnja trajala, a isto tako strogo ih se držalo pod nadzorom kada bi netko od jugoslavenskog vojnog ili političkog života dolazio u obilazak objekta.

Dok ga je stara "ergela" obilazila, novi establišment, izuzmemo li pokojnog predsjednika Franju Tuđmana koji je ušao u biokovsko sklonište, ne navraća tako često.

Kakva je daljnja sudbina strateške zone, teško je znati. "Susjedi" tvde kako se zadnjih nekoliko dana užurbano obilazi lokalitet Žabnjaka, odnosno područje oko skloništa. Koje su im namjere teško je znati, ali prema viđenome teško da bi "KUK-u" nama, mislimo na sklonište, mogao pružiti adekvatnu zaštitu.

I prije nego bi nas zatresla nuklearna bomba i posula radioaktivna prašina, svi bismo pocrkali kao miševi, jer tamošnji uvjeti nisu za čovjeka, više za neku novu vrstu vodenih paukova, spužvi ili koralja…, i da, gljiva.

"KUK-0" bila je jedna od najstrože čuvanih tajni u bivšoj Jugoslaviji.

Taj nešto više od kilometra dug bivši vojni objekt specijalne namjene, smješten u njedrima biokovskog masiva, građen je i dograđivan u više navrata od početka pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, pa sve do kraja osamdesetih, a služio je kao pričuvno zapovjedno mjesto i atomsko sklonište za političku elitu tadašnje SFRJ i članove njihovih obitelji.

Prostor na rubu Gornjih Brela bio je opremljen za to vrijeme vrlo naprednom tehnologijom, a sastojao se od više prostorija povezanih dugim tunelom. Unutar njega se nalazilo desetak soba pripremljenih za uvjete nuklearnog rata na čijim su vratima bila ispisana imena tadašnjih članova političkog vodstva na čelu s vrhovnim zapovjednikom Josipom Brozom Titom.

U tunelskom labirintu, građenom stotinjak metara duboko pod zemljom, osim soba nalazile su se prostorije za dekontaminaciju, bolnica, kuhinja, konferencijska dvorana, elektrana sa nekoliko agregata, spremnici za gorivo, trafostanica, bunar s pitkom izvorskom vodom i kompleksni sustav radio veza, kao mnogi drugi sadržaji potrebni za višemjesečnu životnu autonomiju.

Prostor je raspadom države koju je trebao čuvati padao u zaborav, ali zveckanjem nukleranog oružja na istoku Europe ponovno se aktualizirala tema "KUK-a 0" i sličnih skloništa. I dok se po našim gradovima prebrojavaju podrumske prostorije, objekti slični ovom u utrobi Biokova i dalje se devastiraju.

U krševitom podzemlju naći ćete svega, od gljiva do zmija, samo ne onoga maloprije nabrojenog "asortimana" sadržaja. Od početka devedesetih, pa sve do danas, "KUK-0" metom je brojnih pljačkaša.

Danas potpuno devastiran, bez struje, vode i agregata više sliči kao grobnica nego atomsko sklonište. Kako i ne bi kada ga je Ministarstvo obrane svojedobno proglasilo neperspektivnim objektom, slično kao vojarne u Sinju. Istini za volju, sinjska "Kula" je nakon dobranog "čerupanja" je obnovljena i ponovno vojnicima nastanjena.

U biokovskom slučaju, umjesto vojnika, u tom mračnom i vlažnom prostoru svoj prosperitet vidjeli su gljivari. Nažalost, nekoliko uloženih milijuna kuna u uzgoj gljiva, nisu u potpunosti oplođeni, pa objekt i dalje propada.

Ulazilo se u njega, sjekrom sjekli debeli kabeli, vađen bakar iz agregata, gorivo je već odavno pretočeno u privatne "bidune", čak su se iz zidova čupali električni vodovi. Pričinjena je ogromna materijalna šteta.

Da nije, ne bi ga naše Ministartvo proglasilo neperspektivnim. Hvala Bogu da je neperspektivan kada su pojednici "sastrugali" i ligadinu sa zidova.

Prema izjavama očevidaca, prvi kamionski transport iz skloništa bio je odmah nakon što je objekt preuzela Hrvatska vojska. Kompletna bolnica, vrijedna medicinska aparatura i kreveti iz soba, dobili su noge. Sve je otišlo u "nepoznatom smjeru", vjerojatno, tvrde svjedoci, prema nalogu nekoga iz tadašnjih viših organa vlasti.

Bilo kako bilo, praktički do jučer se kroz zatvorene prozore slobodno uskakalo, ali više ne ide tako. Ni na vrata ni na prozor. Zabranilo Ministarstvo obrane, kažu upućeniji, pa je i naš fotoreporter ostao uskračen za par "sočnih" fotografija interijera velebnog podzemnog objekta.

Vanjski izgled "KUK-a 0" govori o zapuštenosti vojne baze kod Gornjih Brela radi koje su se, iako to nikad nije potvrđeno, trebali iseliti mještani bližih zaselaka dok je izgradnja trajala, a isto tako strogo ih se držalo pod nadzorom kada bi netko od jugoslavenskog vojnog ili političkog života dolazio u obilazak objekta.

Dok ga je stara "ergela" obilazila, novi establišment, izuzmemo li pokojnog predsjednika Franju Tuđmana koji je ušao u biokovsko sklonište, ne navraća tako često.

Kakva je daljnja sudbina strateške zone, teško je znati. "Susjedi" tvde kako se zadnjih nekoliko dana užurbano obilazi lokalitet Žabnjaka, odnosno područje oko skloništa. Koje su im namjere teško je znati, ali prema viđenome teško da bi "KUK-u" nama, mislimo na sklonište, mogao pružiti adekvatnu zaštitu.

I prije nego bi nas zatresla nuklearna bomba i posula radioaktivna prašina, svi bismo pocrkali kao miševi, jer tamošnji uvjeti nisu za čovjeka, više za neku novu vrstu vodenih paukova, spužvi ili koralja…, i da, gljiva.
