Studija obavljena na državnom Sveučilištu u Milanu, koju je objavio specijalizirani znanstveni časopis Emerging Infectious Diseases (Nova infektivna oboljenja), pokazuje da je koronavirus SARS-CoV-2, koji izaziva covid-19, bio nazočan u Milanu još lani u studenome, tri mjeseca prije negoli je u nedalekom Codognu isto oboljenje dijagnosticirano u takozvanoga „nultog pacijenta“, koga se smatralo prvim unositeljem pandemije u Italiju.

U Italiji se već dulje sumnjalo da je taj pogubni koronavirus morao ući u zemlju, konkretno u Lombardiju, i prije ovogodišnje veljače. Ta je sumnja ojačana kad je koronavirus SARS-CoV-2 u naknadnim pretragama nađen u uzorcima otpadnih voda uzetih u Milanu sredinom lanjskog prosinca.

Istraživačka ekipa na Sveučilištu u Milanu pošla je od hipoteze da se naglo izbijanje epidemije u Lombardiji, s ubitačnim učincima proljetošnjega prvog vala, može objasniti pretpostavkom da je koronavirus prodro ranije i širio se dok još nije bio identificiran. „Ideja nam je bila“, prenosi rimski Il Messaggero riječi Silvije Bianchi, jedne od sudionica istraživanja, „istražiti unazad sve slučajeve egzantematskih oboljenja koja je od rujna 2019 do veljače 2020 zabilježila milanska mreža nadzora nad ospicama i šarlahom, a gdje je laboratorijska pretraga pokazala da su bili negativni na ospice“.

Intuicija se pokazala točnom. Pretražujući pohranjene brisove, naišli su na jedan uzet četverogodišnjaku koji je posljednjeg dana studenoga 2019 dopremljen na hitnu pomoć zbog respiratornih simptoma i povraćanja.

Da dečkiću nije dobro vidjelo se prethodnoga 21 studenoga, kada je počeo kašljati, a curio mu je i nos. Stanje se pogoršalo posljednjeg dana u mjesecu, a prvog prosinca pojavile su se na djetetovoj koži mrlje za koje su liječnici zaključili da su simptom ospica. Zato su mu 5 prosinca, dakle 14 dana nakon prvih simptoma, uzeli bris usta i ždrijela, pa se pokazalo da nisu posrijedi ospice.

Naknadna analiza istog brisa pokazala je da je bio pozitivan na SARS-CoV-2, koji tada nije bio uzet u obzir jer nije bio poznat.

Studija obavljena na državnom Sveučilištu u Milanu, koju je objavio specijalizirani znanstveni časopis Emerging Infectious Diseases (Nova infektivna oboljenja), pokazuje da je koronavirus SARS-CoV-2, koji izaziva covid-19, bio nazočan u Milanu još lani u studenome, tri mjeseca prije negoli je u nedalekom Codognu isto oboljenje dijagnosticirano u takozvanoga „nultog pacijenta“, koga se smatralo prvim unositeljem pandemije u Italiju.

U Italiji se već dulje sumnjalo da je taj pogubni koronavirus morao ući u zemlju, konkretno u Lombardiju, i prije ovogodišnje veljače. Ta je sumnja ojačana kad je koronavirus SARS-CoV-2 u naknadnim pretragama nađen u uzorcima otpadnih voda uzetih u Milanu sredinom lanjskog prosinca.

Istraživačka ekipa na Sveučilištu u Milanu pošla je od hipoteze da se naglo izbijanje epidemije u Lombardiji, s ubitačnim učincima proljetošnjega prvog vala, može objasniti pretpostavkom da je koronavirus prodro ranije i širio se dok još nije bio identificiran. „Ideja nam je bila“, prenosi rimski Il Messaggero riječi Silvije Bianchi, jedne od sudionica istraživanja, „istražiti unazad sve slučajeve egzantematskih oboljenja koja je od rujna 2019 do veljače 2020 zabilježila milanska mreža nadzora nad ospicama i šarlahom, a gdje je laboratorijska pretraga pokazala da su bili negativni na ospice“.

Intuicija se pokazala točnom. Pretražujući pohranjene brisove, naišli su na jedan uzet četverogodišnjaku koji je posljednjeg dana studenoga 2019 dopremljen na hitnu pomoć zbog respiratornih simptoma i povraćanja.

Da dečkiću nije dobro vidjelo se prethodnoga 21 studenoga, kada je počeo kašljati, a curio mu je i nos. Stanje se pogoršalo posljednjeg dana u mjesecu, a prvog prosinca pojavile su se na djetetovoj koži mrlje za koje su liječnici zaključili da su simptom ospica. Zato su mu 5 prosinca, dakle 14 dana nakon prvih simptoma, uzeli bris usta i ždrijela, pa se pokazalo da nisu posrijedi ospice.

Naknadna analiza istog brisa pokazala je da je bio pozitivan na SARS-CoV-2, koji tada nije bio uzet u obzir jer nije bio poznat.

Studija obavljena na državnom Sveučilištu u Milanu, koju je objavio specijalizirani znanstveni časopis Emerging Infectious Diseases (Nova infektivna oboljenja), pokazuje da je koronavirus SARS-CoV-2, koji izaziva covid-19, bio nazočan u Milanu još lani u studenome, tri mjeseca prije negoli je u nedalekom Codognu isto oboljenje dijagnosticirano u takozvanoga „nultog pacijenta“, koga se smatralo prvim unositeljem pandemije u Italiju.

U Italiji se već dulje sumnjalo da je taj pogubni koronavirus morao ući u zemlju, konkretno u Lombardiju, i prije ovogodišnje veljače. Ta je sumnja ojačana kad je koronavirus SARS-CoV-2 u naknadnim pretragama nađen u uzorcima otpadnih voda uzetih u Milanu sredinom lanjskog prosinca.

Istraživačka ekipa na Sveučilištu u Milanu pošla je od hipoteze...
