O nedavnom "pedofilskom skandalu" u čijem je epicentru bio Dalaj Lama, oglasio se i svjetski poznati slovenski filozof i publicist Slavoj Žižek. Evo kako je on u tekstu kojega je objavio Project Syndicate vidio događaj kojemu su mnogi pridodali i dimenziju - pedofilskog skandala.

"Nedavno je svijet obišao viralni snimak Dalaj Lame koji tijekom neke ceremonije traži od sedmogodišnjeg dečaka da ga zagrli, a zatim mu kaže: ‘Sisaj mi jezik‘. Publika na Zapadu je većinom osudila Dalaj Lamu zbog neprikladnog ponašanja, uz spekulacije da je senilan, pedofil ili i jedno i drugo. Oni milosrdniji su primijetili da je u tibetanskoj kulturi plaženje jezika stvar tradicionalne prakse – znak dobroćudnosti (pokazati da jezik nije crn, što bi ukazivalo na zlo). Pa ipak, tražiti od nekoga sisanje jezika nema veze s tradicijom.

U stvari, precizan tibetanski izraz je ‘Che le sa‘, što se otprilike prevodi kao ‘jedi moj jezik‘. Bake i djedovi to često koriste da s ljubavlju zadirkuju unuke, u smislu: ‘Sve smo ti dali, ostaje još samo da nam pojedeš jezik‘. Nepotrebno je reći da se smisao izgubio u prevodu. (engleski je Dalaj Lamin drugi jezik i on njime ne vlada kao maternjim jezikom.)

Naravno, činjenica da je nešto dio tradicije ne isključuje preispitivanje i kritiku. Klitoridektomija je također dio drevne tibetanske tradicije, ali je danas sigurno ne bismo branili. Čak je i plaženje jezika pretrpjelo čudnu evoluciju u poslednjih pola stoljeća. Kako piše u knjizi ‘Borba za Tibet‘: ‘Za vrijeme Kulturne revolucije, ako bi stari zemljoposednik sreo oslobođene kmetove, stao bi sa strane, prebacio rukav preko ramena, pognuo se i isplazio jezik – znak poštovanja koje oni nižeg odaju onima višeg statusa – i usudio bi se nastaviti svojim putem tek nakon što bivši kmetovi prođu. Sada, stvari su se vratile na staro: bivši kmetovi stoje kraj puta, klanjaju se i plaze jezike, propuštajući svoje stare gospodare. Bio je to suptilan proces, dobrovoljan, nitko ga nije nametao ni objasnio.“

Tu plaženje jezika označava samoponiženje, a ne brižnu ljubav... Još je zanimljivija činjenica da je isti ritual preživio tako ogromne društvene transformacije.

Da se vratimo na Dalaj Lamu. Vjerojatno je da su kineske vlasti orkestrirale ili potaknule širenje snimke koja bi kompromitirala figuru koja je oličenje tibetanskog otpora kineskoj dominaciji.

U svakom slučaju, sada imamo uvid u Dalaj Lamu kao svog bližnjeg u lacanovskom smislu te riječi. On je Drugi, nesvodiv na nas, čija drugost zjapi pred nama kao ponor. Visoko seksualizirana interpretacija njegovog ponašanja odražava nepremostiv jaz u kulturalnom razumijevanju", piše Žižek za Project Syndicate.

O nedavnom "pedofilskom skandalu" u čijem je epicentru bio Dalaj Lama, oglasio se i svjetski poznati slovenski filozof i publicist Slavoj Žižek. Evo kako je on u tekstu kojega je objavio Project Syndicate vidio događaj kojemu su mnogi pridodali i dimenziju - pedofilskog skandala.

"Nedavno je svijet obišao viralni snimak Dalaj Lame koji tijekom neke ceremonije traži od sedmogodišnjeg dečaka da ga zagrli, a zatim mu kaže: ‘Sisaj mi jezik‘. Publika na Zapadu je većinom osudila Dalaj Lamu zbog neprikladnog ponašanja, uz spekulacije da je senilan, pedofil ili i jedno i drugo. Oni milosrdniji su primijetili da je u tibetanskoj kulturi plaženje jezika stvar tradicionalne prakse – znak dobroćudnosti (pokazati da jezik nije crn, što bi ukazivalo na zlo). Pa ipak, tražiti od nekoga sisanje jezika nema veze s tradicijom.

U stvari, precizan tibetanski izraz je ‘Che le sa‘, što se otprilike prevodi kao ‘jedi moj jezik‘. Bake i djedovi to često koriste da s ljubavlju zadirkuju unuke, u smislu: ‘Sve smo ti dali, ostaje još samo da nam pojedeš jezik‘. Nepotrebno je reći da se smisao izgubio u prevodu. (engleski je Dalaj Lamin drugi jezik i on njime ne vlada kao maternjim jezikom.)

Naravno, činjenica da je nešto dio tradicije ne isključuje preispitivanje i kritiku. Klitoridektomija je također dio drevne tibetanske tradicije, ali je danas sigurno ne bismo branili. Čak je i plaženje jezika pretrpjelo čudnu evoluciju u poslednjih pola stoljeća. Kako piše u knjizi ‘Borba za Tibet‘: ‘Za vrijeme Kulturne revolucije, ako bi stari zemljoposednik sreo oslobođene kmetove, stao bi sa strane, prebacio rukav preko ramena, pognuo se i isplazio jezik – znak poštovanja koje oni nižeg odaju onima višeg statusa – i usudio bi se nastaviti svojim putem tek nakon što bivši kmetovi prođu. Sada, stvari su se vratile na staro: bivši kmetovi stoje kraj puta, klanjaju se i plaze jezike, propuštajući svoje stare gospodare. Bio je to suptilan proces, dobrovoljan, nitko ga nije nametao ni objasnio.“

Tu plaženje jezika označava samoponiženje, a ne brižnu ljubav... Još je zanimljivija činjenica da je isti ritual preživio tako ogromne društvene transformacije.

Da se vratimo na Dalaj Lamu. Vjerojatno je da su kineske vlasti orkestrirale ili potaknule širenje snimke koja bi kompromitirala figuru koja je oličenje tibetanskog otpora kineskoj dominaciji.

U svakom slučaju, sada imamo uvid u Dalaj Lamu kao svog bližnjeg u lacanovskom smislu te riječi. On je Drugi, nesvodiv na nas, čija drugost zjapi pred nama kao ponor. Visoko seksualizirana interpretacija njegovog ponašanja odražava nepremostiv jaz u kulturalnom razumijevanju", piše Žižek za Project Syndicate.
